Anita walks for PESGSC!
The Power of Friendship: A Pilgrimage for Parkinson's
In 2024, Anita McMullin walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain, a personal pilgrimage she dedicated to her
friend and neighbor Tom McDonald and his fight against Parkinson's disease. Anita's walk was also a tribute to the
work of the Parkinson's Education and Support Group of Sussex County. Moved by Anita and Tom's story, generous
donors from across the country gave nearly $80,000.
This October, Anita is walking again for Tom, this time on the ancient Kumano Kodo trail in Japan. While she walks
in Japan, Tom will track his own workouts back home in Delaware, and together they will share videos and stories
from their two journeys.
Will you join Anita and Tom in the fight against Parkinson's? Your gift provides vital resources for Tom and
hundreds of neighbors right here in Sussex County who are living with this disease. One hundred percent of
every donation benefits PESGSC.
Follow along with Anita and Tom's journey, and help us carry the fight against Parkinson's forward in Sussex County.
Beneficiary: PESGSC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Parkinson’s community of Sussex County.
